Helped OPPORTUNITY INTERNATIONAL establish a community owned NBFC micro finance company by properly mobilizing the community funds. We also helped them to attract a suitable Foreign Investment.
- Converted an unregistered Nidhi company, with approximate 1.5 lacs shareholders, into a micro finance NBFC. For this, we helped them to obtain the RBI license and overhauled the organization by restructuring it to scale up its operations as well as to increase its outreach.
- Helped Hand in Hand to enter into microfinance by the acquisition of an NBFC, thereby benefiting 35000 SHGs.
- Completed SIDBI Grant supported project aimed at bringing transparency in the micro finance sector. For this, we developed a portal with the profile of SHGs along with the details of their financial transactions and made it available on the portal. This portal acts as a data depository for all the stakeholders like bankers, donors, investors, MFIs, borrowers etc.
- Conducted a training program in Trichy in September, 2007 with the subject “New frontiers of Governance in MFIs” which focused on improving the functioning of the Board of Directors and the Top Management in areas like compliance and governance practices in Micro Finance sector.
- Represented Hand in Hand for “The jobs for Growth” program and conducted a South African Government sponsored training program focused on implementing SHG model in South Africa.
- Developed various software products for MFIs. E.g. Apt Account, Apt Financier, Apt Info Banker for improved accounting and portfolio management of MFIs and NGOs.
- Successfully introduced ICT and implemented software to wide range of NGOs / MFIs.
- Audit and assurance Service provided to more than 200 Micro Finance institutions having portfolio of more than Rs.300 crores.
- Provided Consultancy services in International MF programs.
